Synopsis
The PhD program is intended for students who wish to become a specialist in a particular area of Applied Language Studies through research. The candidate has to demonstrate a substantial knowledge in his/her chosen field of specialization, and able to pursue original research independently. Each candidate has to prepare and submit a thesis not exceeding 100,000 words on an approved area of study under the guidance of one to three supervisors, and to go through a viva voce successfully.
Entry Requirement
- A Master's degree (in a relevant field) from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognized by the UiTM Senate; or
- Other qualifications in a relevant field, equivalent to a Master's degree recognized by the UiTM Senate, with related experience; or
- Other requirements stipulated by the university

- Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 3 (international students who are majoring in another language are required to achieve a minimum score of IELTS 5.0 or MUET Band 3 or its equivalent)
