Synopsis
This programme aims at producing scholars who are expert and competent in contemporary Islamic studies. It is designed to integrate Islamic juristic and theoretical knowledge with contemporary disciplines of studies. It provides learners with in-depth knowledge in the area of contemporary Islamic Studies to deal with the demands and challenges faced by Islam and Muslims in the modern world.
Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the UiTM Senate with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the UiTM Senate with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent and 3 years working experience.
- Other entry requirements that in line with the procedures required by Institute of Graduate Studies (IPSIS) and UiTM.
Mode and Duration
- Full Time: 2 – 3 years (4 – 6 semesters)
- Part Time: 2 – 4 years (4 – 8 semesters)
Medium Of Instruction
- Malay, English and Arabic
Program Structure
Candidates need to complete a total of 40 credit hours of coursework. The total credit hours include program core and specialization courses (33 credit hours), research project (4 credit hours) and elective courses (3 credit hours).
