Synopsis
The overall aim of the Master of Science (Health Promotion & Education) is for students to gain advanced skills, principles and knowledge in health promotion and education whilst also developing a critical and multidisciplinary approach to the complexities of public health and health promotion challenges and possibilities. This course provides student the opportunity to conduct an empirical research project in a contemporary issue associated with public health and health promotion. These include policy environments, physical environments, social environments and economic environments.
The minimum requirements are successful completion of an undergraduate degree in the field of public health, health psychology, health communication, etc. or equivalent from an approved university. International students must also meet the postgraduate English language requirements. Applicants must provide a written proposal outlining the work to be done to accomplish the research. Involvement in professional activities related to health promotion and/or health industry experience would be advantageous.
Entry Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from UiTM in a related and appropriate area of specialization with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from other recognized universities approved by UiTM with minimum CGPA of 2.75.
- A candidate applying for admission into this programme is required to submit a research proposal to the faculty. The acceptance of a candidate shall be at the discretion of the UiTM Senate, whose decision shall be final
