Synopsis
Master of Science (Physiology) is a 2-year research program which purpose is to provide student with a strong research-oriented background in areas of physiology. These areas include brain research, neurobehavioral study of animals, neuronal plasticity, natural product, nutritional deficiency, embryology, phytomedicine, degenerative diseases, free radical-antioxidant interaction in biological system, cardiovascular research, obesity, exercise physiology, reproductive physiology and radiation bioeffects. Some research is done in collaborations with other departments in Faculty of Health Sciences or faculties (e.g. Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Pharmacy). Research undertaken for this degree contains an element of originality and it is important that the work be scientifically valid, carefully analyzed, and well presented. Students with a bachelor degree in any health-related disciplines or sciences and are committed in doing research are encouraged to apply. Entry Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from UiTM in a related and appropriate area of specialization with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from other recognized universities approved by UiTM with minimum CGPA of 2.75.
- A candidate applying for admission into this programme is required to submit a research proposal to the faculty. The acceptance of a candidate shall be at the discretion of the UiTM Senate, whose decision shall be final
