Synopsis
The Faculty of Film, Theatre, and Animation is delighted to offer Masters by Research and PhD with a range of exciting specialisms within the creative industries domain. Both Masters and PhD programmes are based upon supervised but largely independent study. The Masters by Research and PhD in Film, Theatre and Animation are not taught courses, and therefore there are no modules offered. Instead, the individual student defines their own set of research questions in conversation with their supervisory team. Areas of specialism include: aspects of creative industries, ranging from legal and copyright issues to funding and policy; theatre, drama, and performance; film, animation, and digital arts; and, creative writing and literary studies, among others.
Entry Requirement
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field from UiTM or any institution of higher learning by the Malaysian Government: or
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree with relevant experience in related fields recognised by the UiTM Senate.
- Candidates seeking admission are required to submit a research proposal in their area of interest.
